Company Emergency Response Officers are in charge of prevention and intervention in case of incidents. They provide assistance and ensure the safety of all present on the company premises. Their tasks include First Aid, evacuation, extinguishing a starting fire and liaising with the external emergency services. In addition, they look after people at the external assembly points.
The basic Emergency Response training given by Inprevo prepares the Emergency response Officers for a variety of incidents which could happen at the work place. The training focusses on the acquisition of elementary skills.
Contents ERT training
The participant in the basic Emergency Response training will learn about:
Firefighting and Evacuation
Extinguishing a starting fire;
Using the adequate fire extinguishing equipment;
Preparing an evacuation;
Evacuating the building;
Communication: raising the alarm and evacuating people.
Life-saving First Aid inclusive Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) & AED
Dealing with injuries;
Providing CPR and using an AED (Automatic External Defibrillator);
Communicating with the external Emergency Services.
Scenariobased training
The participants are trained based on realistic scenarios to learn to intervene in case of emergency. No tedious presentations but practical learning! Via practical scenarios, the participants are taught to evaluate situations and to take appropriate actions based on adequate procedures. Scenario-based training ensures that the Emergency Response Officers are exposed to the basic risks specific to their company.
Diploma/ Certificate
The participant who follows this training succesfully will receive a diploma. To keep this up-to-date with the relevant Emergency Response guidelines and to remain competent, we advise you to ensure a yearly renewal of the certificate.
